Galaxy Gray Metallic

I thought I would make a page discussing the color of my car, which is known as Galaxy Gray Metallic. As seen in the two photos on this page, there appears to be a metallic finish to the car that, when the light hits it just right, almost gives it a bronze appearance. All in all, I am satisfied with the color.

Photo above: Early morning light touches my car in Galaxy Gray Metallic on the first autumn morning that I had my Civic ( http://2008-honda-civic.com/new-car-photos.htm).

Another photo of the Civic at a park in Poncha Springs. Oh ... and don't you dare call that color charcoal! Mad

Above is a photo of the color options I had with my Civic. Now for the LX version (which is my car), keep in mind that three of the colors (Habanero Red Pearl, Fiji Blue Pearl and Rallye Red) were not available. That left me with the remaining six colors of two shades of blue, white, silver, gray and black.

During my car purchasing experience, I was very open to colors such as green, orange/rust, dark red and beige/gold, but none of those were options. I was not necessarily against the blue shades, but something inside me felt blue was too passive, boring and "family-like." White is a color I can't stand for a vehicle, and silver is merely a modest upgrade from white. I will admit black could have been a nice option, but I found myself very attracted to the gray. While I was disappointed in the poor and limited selection of color options by Honda, I generally feel very good about the gray shade of my vehicle. I mean, c'mon, aren't those two photos of my Civic kind of nice? Smile

Having said that, I really do miss the old days in the 1970's and early 1980's where would could choose among hundreds and hundreds of colors, from dark browns to sky blue to pea soup green to all sorts of wild shades of yellow and orange. Those were the days!

Out of all the colors you mentioned I would have picked exactly the same two colors - black and Galaxy Gray - for closer consideration.

And then black is just "too dark" and for younger folks who still need to express themselves but nevertheless black is kind of cool, but Galaxy Gray is simply elegant and for people who are already laid back and so I would have chosen that in the end.

Great choice.

some people choose the color based on how easy it is to clean. Are you going to write a song about your car? You could use the brady bunch theme... theres a story, of a honda civic, etc. just kidding.
