Advantages and Disadvantages
After eight months of owning this vehicle, I can honestly say that I am very satisfied with the 2008 Honda Civic Coupe. Having thought more about it, I wrote a list of advantages and disadvantages I see with the car. It is probably a modest list, but it might be helpful for anyone considering buying an '08 Civic. It has been such a snowy winter that I have concluded in the short-term that it is fruitless to wash my car. It has been snowing regularly with snow and ice covering many of the roads, which will turn to messy slush whenever it actually warms up. I drove my car to a quiet and fairly isolated stretch of road for the sole purpose of testing out and learning how to use the panic button. It is a fairly simple gadget, but realistically, I'm not sure how often I'll need to use it living in a rural area of central Colorado. You can read more here ... Well, the old days of putting a small sticker on the inside of your windshield as a reminder of when your car is due for an oil change are over. To my surprise, the new 2008 Honda Civic has a system inside the car that tracks the "oil life" and notifies the driver when it becomes due for an oil change. You can read more here ... During my drive across much of the country, the windshield received its first "ding" from a flying pebble on I-435 in the Kansas City, Missouri area. Waaaaah! I was a little sad about the incident especially with my new car syndrome that is still going strong. ;) You can read more and view photos here ...
